Biography

Jenee A. Fernandes Jones was born to Trinidadian parents, growing up a devout Christian in Miami, Florida as the only girl within a family of boys. From a young age, her sensitivity, awareness and drive led her to experience noteworthy success in a wide range of fields beyond her academics. In her younger years she excelled in the performing arts and by her high school years she showed great talent in the arena of journalism and mass communications. After receiving full scholarships, serving as Editor in Chief for her college newspaper and graduating Cum Laude from Florida International University, she found herself preparing for a high-end career in advertising. But this would never come to pass. When a sudden chaotic spiritual emergence shook her life into submission, she was forced to abandon all plans for her career and abruptly leave her childhood home with no personal belongings.

Driven by the profound soul experience and a quest to regain her courage and direction, she ventured to understand her spiritual nature within the true nature of God and Christ. She embarked on a four-year journey of spiritual reclusiveness, completely shutting out the outside world including any semblance of gainful employment.

Moving beyond her religious programming, she sought to uncover the deeper truths of the soul and spirit, unearthing new pathways for wellness, wholeness and healing. As her connection to her spiritual gifts evolved, she came to explore the secrets of human origin, spiritual energetics, the history of Christian and world religions, metaphysics, and vedic philosophy. She remained committed to a discipline of meditation, prayer and veganism, maintaining very little contact with the outside world.

This transformative period reshaped her mind and unleashed a powerful courage of spirit, opening her consciousness to embrace Christ as both a spiritual savior and a transcendent force, honoring both the divine masculine and divine feminine that exist in harmony, unity and balance within God.

While her time alone was empowering and nurturing for her spirit, the period left her hypersensitive and severely debilitated when it came to human interaction. She'd gained profound knew insights that empowered her in many ways, but she'd become unable to do the simple things that people take for granted every day.

Overwhelmed by the thought of never sharing what had been gifted, in 2015, Jenee made a bold decision—to honor a call that she felt brimming from the inside of her heart. She understood the power in her purpose and knew that she could not remain in seclusion. She would be forced to rejoin the world and relearn the science of social connection. Her daily struggle began as she challenged herself to overcome her hypersensitivity and debilitating social disorientation.

Over the course of three years, she worked tirelessly to reintegrate her life to include some form of healthy social function. Energized by her progress, she released her first public writings to popular websites and delved into motivational content creation. In 2019 she founded a creative empowerment agency, Purpose Launchers, to help new entrepreneurs and charities to position their own missions and unleash their God-given potential through brand development and multimedia storytelling. Her dedication to spiritual growth and personal development shines through to every individual or organization she helps.

Jenee’s book, Blessings Are Like Butterflies, is the first book ever published for distribution. It encapsulates the very feeling she has in her heart for the life that she has lived. Gratitude. She is filled with it. With a heart full of gratitude and eyes fixed on the divine, Jenee embraces each step of her path, dedicated to guiding others toward their own spiritual communion with the divine. As she looks toward the future and keeps her heart open to higher guidance she remains committed to her mission of empowering others through spiritual growth and creative expression, always walking hand in hand with faith in God.
